Radio Sheffield bosses said there will be no live commentary of any Owls games, but in a statement Sheffield Wednesday only refers to away fixtures.

It’s fans (that can’t get for whatever reason) that will suffer

They will be able to commentate on ours and United's game, but not Leeds. It will wind a lot of fans up if commentary is biased towards Wednesday when they don't even have a deal with them- they should get minimum coverage and no pundits from their side

Seems a very strange decision, a lot of Wednesday fans listen to BBC Sheffield so it will be them that miss out. A money making ploy by the chairman to get everyone to sign up to ifollow? Very unfair and disrespectful to the fans if so. Not everyone can afford the spare money to pay for a subscription. I'd like to see how Chansiri justifies this to the fans. They have a fans forum on Monday I believe

So no commentary from our forthcoming game at Elland Road? They probably woudln't have bothered anyway.

No Radio DeeDah coverage of Wednesday or Leeds matches then - what a tragedy
Not sure how Radio DeeDah are going to be able to fill in all those mssing hours - they might even have to cover some of the other clubs in the local area

Sorry Don but I find this statement confusing.

Do you mean that Radio Sheffield will be able to commentate on Wednesday's games against Rotherham and Sheff Utd (presumably only their away games?) because they are commentating on a Rotherham game and A Sheff U game.
"but not Leeds" ??? Well Leeds are not in the Radio Sheffield area so they generally can't commentate on Leeds games anyway. Is this not the same as saying "but not Villa" etc.?

Think Rob Staton will jump int cut if he can't wonk over SWFC. I am hoping there will be no over long interviews with foreign wendy managers who can't speak a word of English either.

When we were at Don Valley it took me at least half an hour to get home. What I remember most about the drives home is waiting patiently for some slight mention of our club whilst the dee-dah presenter chatted at length with Brian Laws about everything under the sun.

"how's the youth team doing Brian?"
    "Got any holidays planned?"
    "Butter or marge?"

I would be shouting at the radio "ffs get the boring sod off" to no avail of course.

First Wednesday caller on Radio DeeDah Football Heaven today was almost in tears - not just about the commentary rights either. "Uncaring petty club" according to the Owls lad.... oh dear (again)
They've not had a good couple of weeks
