Well he scored for fun in his first loan without us ruining him, did it again for a large part of last season, then went off the boil.

The consensus was that opponents had worked out how to stop him or that he wasn't interested any more, but now we have to revise our view of everything to make Nolan out to be the bad guy so let's just say Nolan ruined him.

There is indeed a fascinating amount of that sort of revisionism going on isn't there? By the way, I think KN broke the scoreboard and also spilt that milk in the office last week.

Oh well, as the old saying goes, 'There's no point crying over broken scoreboards'. I think that was how it went anyway.

By the way I recommend a look at the thread from the summer where the new signings were added, to see exactly how much revisionism is going on.

OP has a point though regarding the signings Lincoln made, they would all walk into our sign, including Michael O'Connor who for some reason was booed today because he didn't want to accept a paycut?

If Hardy was so willing to spend money on the attack I don't see why players like Bola and Toffollo would have been out of our budget/reach.

Definitely. He's not the youngest, but he's so effective at this level. Would have been the ideal replacement for Shola, allowing us to keep our style and ethos that was so effective last year. All we needed to do was add a bit of quality, like Lincoln have, but instead we've ripped it all to shreds. Just goes to show the difference a summer can make.
