Brighton played some of the best players in the world.
Many teams do and get results by having a go.
Too many excuses are being made for Rafa when his football (although defensively well drilled) is literally dire in the main.
There's no need for it, at all.
If he had a team full of league one players then I'd have a bit more sympathy.
All he's doing is setting out with a mindset of not getting beat with the potential of nicking something by hook or by crook on the back of hope (at the back) and glory (with a set piece or lucky strike) kind of thing.
I'd literally rather be in the non- league trying rather than having a team set out to allow the bigger teams to just come and batter us at will and embarrass us whilst we pay players 30,40,50,60,70 grand a week.
Look...no matter what, this team costs millions and millions. You wouldn't expect a surgeon to only half heartedly have a go at an operation because he's only on 1 million a year whilst another one is on 10 times that amount does a decent job.
You're paid to do the job and Rafa is no exception to that rule. The job is to have a go with the emphasis on trying to beat the opposition...regardless..
And when people say about we would get hammered it's pretty irrelevant when we get beat anyway. Why not go at them yesterday at Home? yeah they might of banged in 5-6 goals but we may of bagged a few and gave a real good account of ourselves. I'd rather have a defeat like that then a defeat defending for a game.
Exactly.
Give your forward thinking players the opportunity to enhance their natural game and your forward rewards can be potentially match winning and at times in abundance.
Score more than the opposition and gain players that are up for it and fans that encourage it.
Too many fans are feeling privileged to have Rafa and are basically not too keen on letting him know his football is garbage, due to his tactics...not the players he has.
Canny thread this like, you start it! then talk to yourself (mostly shoite by the way) in my utmost honest opinion..
Then you say fan for life!Which club are you a fan of?
Or are you just a fan of yourself? Either way you are one big bellend and your snidey little wind up comments are just that!.Are you hosebound/disabled etc? Maybe you are but there are hundreds of thousands in your boat but most of them aren't bellends, this is just my thoughts of course and could be miles off,see what I'm doing here?
I like the way you are treated on the Mag best, you get your sh it rammed straight back down your throat,as it should be.
Unfortunately on this board people still try to argue/debate your sh it..
Oh and haven't seen you on the Ronnie site for a while, the lads on there have got yee bang to rights as well..
In my opinion,I'm allowed one yes? is that you are a Troll and you couldn't fu cking wait till your alarm went off this morning.Would you have even set it if we had got a draw or god forbid beat the half a billion pound team...
Now that I'm logged on I won't be able to see your shoite reply so divvin't bother ya wa nker..
I can't believe anyone not a toon supporter would want to watch what we have to under Rafa
He is the worst prem manager we have had
He is in most cases the most negative / defensive we have had
Even fat Sam
I think the two go together
We have some good attacking players
Not world beaters
But better at attacking than defending
So when he says he is playing the cards he has been dealt he is lying
You have to attack at home
Under Rafa we rarely do
The game has developed
A lot of managers have grasped this
Rafa hasn't
When he spouts out results from several years ago to justify his tactics then we know we must be looking for a new manager
Rafa let a lot of good players go
He dealt those cards
Any manager will get these players top 12 and play better footy
