Of course you know all this Pboro

In regards to why he played, i'd imagine he said he was ok to play and could push through but they've decided to rest him tonight.

That Bishop told Ashley it would all blow over in a month and things would settle down and go back to normal.Seems he is hell bent on putting as many lies out there to deflect from the protests as possible.

    From the Chronicle

Sadly Benitez’s arrival came too late in 2016 and the damage was already done.

But promotion in 2017 and a top 10 finish came because of the spirit the Spaniard has instilled within the squad.

This lot don’t have a discipline issue - they have a burning desire to succeed.

Indeed, in Portugal both Lascelles and Ritchie were also quite vocal and sparky before journalists spotted the pair having a coffee together at the team hotel an hour later.

However, there has been no subsequent rift between Ritchie and Lascelles and both players have been on speaking terms ever since.

Benitez - being the man manager he is - has been working with Lascelles closely in the last few weeks after a summer of transfer speculation and the fact his partner is due to give birth soon with centre-back’s emotions understandably running a little higher than normal.

What a non-event. Even the clash between Lascelles and Diamé (which sounded much more "dramatic" than this) is something that often occurs in high-intensity training. Players are often dissatisfied with managerial dispositions, and players between them often disagree about what's what. That doesn't mean the manager has lost the dressing room. If anything, it means that the players care.
