I remember people drooling over Scott Parker. I never quite understood why.

First time I saw Albert Luque signing autographs before a pre-season friendly, I thought 'not a footballer him like'.

Scott Paker used to play the ball around in small squares. I'm convinved he used to carry a protractor in his back pocket.

I never got the scott parker thing. Massively over rated. Poor mans james milner (now there is a player we should have kept).

    Cabella, another over hyped nobody

Parker and Campbell, would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Owen hadnt bust his foot at spurs as he was playing well and scoring plenty up till then.

    i disagree
he was good but i dont think many would have him on the back of our shirts

who is your most over rated player

mine in recent times is the other barton

but over all it has to be michael owen or ian rush
I have to say Mussa Sissoko, mainly bc in his head he thought he was a champions league player, but 90% of the time he was more like a championship player...

I thought they nailed his left foot to the floor when the game started and he then just went round in circles.

(A bit like that old plastic football game, played with a small ball-bearing, with knobs at each corner that spun the players round.).

For the sake of peace Stan I'll compromise and revise mine to squares with rounded corners. He still never seemed to get anywhere further forward though.

I have nothing against Parker as such (except for his haircut). I think he was a decent player for us. Went on to do well at West Ham and Spurs.

    A truly awful football player

Andreas Andersson came as a big name, didn't he? Didn't make it here at all.

Sorry for bringing him up, Zip - I know how fond of him you are.
