Yes I know a few Chessy fans and they still mention the 0-5 to this day as if our three promotions and 4 seasons out of the last 5 in the C'ship don't count.
They are only out of the relegation spots on goal difference

I was sat in the corner for the 5-0 right next to the Chesterfield fans. I just sat there and took the abuse for 90 minutes, without responding. There is an old saying 'Every dog has his day', that was theirs.

    What a shame.

If you heard his post match comments on Saturday on the wireless it sounded like he was trying to get sacked.

If any Miller has the slightest bit of empathy for chesterfield then I would urge them to visit their forum, Bobs Board/Spireite Debate, and navigate back to the threads posted at the time we were in the same division. It was a real eye opener for me, I never realised just how much they hated us. And I mean "hate", not humorous banter, but real vitriolic stuff.

Having said that, and with my sensible head on, I suppose we shouldn't judge a set of fans by their keyboard warriors and so, for the genuine chezzie lads and lasses without the chip on their shoulder, I do feel a smidgen of sympathy. As others have said, there but for the grace of Tony (by the way their keyboard warriors hate TS because in their eyes hes spending money he doesnt have and we as a club never learn our lessons on over spending - they even look up ASDs accounts).

So, in summary, to the non-chip spireites best of luck and sort yourselves out soon. To the six fingered, bitter miller hating inbreds, lol - JUST LOL!!

I work with a couple of their fans, and they are really decent blokes. They see beating to Millers as a really major result, perhaps more than we do. It's always pointed out that their record against us is excellent. True, but we nearly always finish above them at the end of the season.
They , like Scunny and Mansfield suffer from 'I wish we were in Yorkshire' syndrome.

Recall over a few seasons ago on radio dee dar there was a Chezzy fan by the name of Peter. He always said how they would smash us and beat us easily almost every time it came to play them. One day he got it right with the 5-0 thrashing and he lived off it for weeks.

IF Peter is still around and he ever got to read this, 'Would you swap your 5-0 for where you and we are now?' Read it and weep Peter read it and weep.
