O/T Bizarre street names

There used to be a Butt Hole Lane somewhere near Conisbrough but after years of ridicule it's residents successfully managed to get the name changed to Button Hole Lane.

Butt Hole Road and they changed it to Archers Way.

There is still a Butthole Lane in Leicestershire.

Until the Americanisation of our language the word butt had nothing but an everyday, non innuendo, meaning.

I remember seeing Fanny Hands Lane when I ws a kid every time we went to the Lincs coast for a family holiday, usually Mablethorpe!

There's a cul de sac in Ossett called Turn O' The Nook
