Exciting breaking news that Jefferson Montero could be on his way to us from Swansea. Just to remind everyone, this is a player who can't get a place in a team who are seven places below us in the league. You couldn't make it up!

I know this won't be a popular view on here but looking at some of the names we're linked to and some of the our recent additions, I don't have a problem with what the Dings are doing. Their owners are clearly taking a responsible view and putting good money in to trying to build something progressive. They aren't absent foreign landlords after a fast buck. Everything we aren't. I don't like seeing them where they are but I can't buy in to this green eyed envy you hear so much from other supporters on WM. They're where they are for a reason. We by contrast are probably where we are due to the ineptitude of a few other teams around us. It just shows you generally get what you deserve which is a sobering thought on deadline day looking at who we are linked with and who is on the bench if outside our first X1.

Stripes, I agree one hundred percent. Wolves have taken it by the scruff of the neck and spent big. Our biggest signing is Rondon for £12 million, they have is it 4? At 16 million and a 20 million signing. This shows Intention. Until we show the same Intent we will always struggle. We had our chance after having 8 years in the prem, established ourselves, and then when we needed to spend proper money we didn't. We never do. Those are the stark facts. I admire what Wolves have done. I am embarrassed at what we don't do. It sucks!

Burke and Chadli and possibly Rodriguez cost more Rondon. The biggest between us and them is they have spent well and in the last few seasons we have spent appallingly!

Actually it's a bit harsh comparing us with the team (hate to say it) who have probably spent £ for £ better than anyone else in the last 2 seasons .

We tried to spend last season, we bought Burke for £15m and Rodriguez for a large amount, we had two players in on loan on £100k + per week. We overspent and needed an overdraft.

Our wage bill was in the top 10 of the prem at one stage.

The lazy argument is just to say 'we haven't spent enough'. Because we spent outside of our means.

Its not so much the spending, its spending it wisely - which we haven't done.

And anyway who cares about Wolves, they're doing well but if you want to make comparisons to make yourself feel better then compare us and them over the last 10 years. We've consistently had the upper hand. Teams come and go in cycles and this is their turn. Having said that, they have no bearing on us at all this season.

So comparing us to a prem side who have spent over £80m this season and are 7th in their league, on the last day of the transfer window isn't really a valid point is it...unless you are saying we should be spending more wisely, in that case I would agree. But we have bought in a new chairman and technical director since last seasons debacle. So what else do you expect them to do?

If you're complaining that our owner hasn't put enough cash in, again what can anyone at the club do about that?

So lets see what bodies we can bring in tonight and stop whinging about how much the Wolves have spent. They have nothing to do with us.

We’ll blame the snow (if it turns up) they (the player) were only a couple of miles away but couldn’t get here due to 1cm of snow on the floor

It’s now becoming so farcical at our place that I half expect Odemwingie to turn up on our car park late tonight.

Joking apart......he really couldn’t be worse than other signing we’ve made and are tipped to make.

How many players that move in January are playing regular 1st team football ? unless you pay lots of money not many, i'm prepared to give anyone that signs for us a chance( for at least 2 games) before i slag them off.
