''Yes, it is only a game but there should be fair play ....? Fair play flew out the window about my grandads time! I know of just one person with the guts to be moral about it, Robbie Fowler, he told the ref ,''onnest ref , it wasn't a penalty''! After the ref had already given it. Just can't remember how that ended?
But why be surprised? ManU have had their 'Drama and Acting School' for years, to learn about topics such as,just when and how to let your draggin foot touch the player, when to haul, pull, draw, tug, heave, trail, trawl, tow, yank, lug they learn it even before shooting practise!!

Balanbam --what I was talking about with fair play was that the officials should punish or ignore similar incidents for both teams---you can't do one thing for one team and something different for the other and that is what Jon Moss did last night.
It isn't difficult to do, I did it for many years, however, I was consistent and that meant a lot to players and managers although you still got abuse from the fans. I hasten to add that this was at non- league level and you could hear every word directed at you!

I don't like Moss, I think he's one of the worst of a bad bunch, but when Lingard went down I never expected anything but a pen, and I would have thought the same whoever the ref was. Whether we like it or not, if you do what Hendrick did, you're always liable to give a penalty away, so don't grab hold, don't do it. Don't give the ref a decision to make in the penalty area, because with five minutes to go at Old Trafford, you just know what that decision will be.
