I don't know why you were gobsmacked BT,when another England international took to the field for us.. I expected nothing but a great reception for him.. Didn't he earn us a point as well doing what he's good at.. He's going to be a great addition to our squad and the way we play for the rest of the season..

Hmmm, you seemed a tad concerned about the reception he might get in Post No 1 Alfie. In response to your concerns I did say there was nothing to worry about in Post 6.

BT, I'm surprised you were surprised, there will always be a few malcontents moaning on msgboards, but our fans would never turn on any new signing without giving him a chance first, they'll always get behind him and give him a chance. It's like I said, no one has anything against Crouch himself, it's the tight-fisted board that annoys fans. We've even had Rovers players here and they've never had a problem either.

This reception was something else sinkov, easily beat the roar when Wrighty and Gazza first arrived.

You only miss 'em when you are in a position to score 'em ----hence Wood yesterday! It happens but better that way than not being there in the first place!

Like I said on another thread and I stand by it. Crouch is one on the most underrated strikers in England. He might be 38 but as the gaffer said he has maintained a high level of fitness. He made an instant impact against Southampton and I fully expect him to continue making an impact.
I am looking forward to a longer spell in a match with two wingers and Wood and Crouch up front.

Could that be because there were more on BT ? I don't think we were filling Turf Moor back then, even with legends like those two in the team.
