Nice to see him getting the reception and farewell, He deserved that for all the memories., but he showed today why we let him go. Sometimes it was all about him, and I get the impression we have a bit more togetherness as a team now. As you’ve said, it wasn’t nice to see him subbed, but I’d rather see him being subbed, than him scoring a winner. Can see him dropping down the Leagues a bit now. As I said on another thread, spends too much time whinging and on his Ar$e. Couldn’t see the penalty incident clearly enough, but he was very rattled.
I wonder what the reaction would have been to him had he scored?

It wasn’t a penalty he was looking to go down so he could take a penalty in front of us and not celebrate!
He was played up front rather than as a winger when they were playing down the wings! and obviously prefer Thomas in that role who was useless?
As much as I loved him he definitely needed to leave, there is no way he could do what Stendel needs for this system to work, you only have to look at Brown and Green when he plays at how much they are required to sprint back to defend. Hammill would have been half dead after 15 minutes.
Great reception for him though and nice to see him doing a lap with our team at the end, hope he scores loads for Scunny now.
