Don’t give the minutes applause if that’s the way you feel but don’t disrespect it either.
More important things than rivalry in football.

Not to be too cynical, but fans die all the time. When I pass, I'll be happy with my message on the screen and applause at the new years game with the other millers who have past away that year. Condolences to his family and friends, but why do we need to have an individual minutes applause for an opposing fan?
Its ok saying don't join in, but then you have people looking at you for not showing enough respect for not joining in. Why? Its PC gone mad.

He lives in Rotherham, they will sing about Rotherham grooming but they want to do a minutes applause for one of their own at our ground? Laughable

Btw some Miller fans have died this year, a minutes applause for them?

Who decides who is worthy of an applause?

No need to spoil it for his friends and family just for the sake of football rivalry.
if people dont want it spoilt don't do it at an away ground on derby day.

there going yo be plenty people at the ground that won't know about it or really care about it.

right time and place and I hope it goes well for them but I think it's totally wrong its at today's game

No strong feelings either way to applause or not, no big deal.

I too will have to make do with my name on the big screen.
The lad that died may have friends that are Millers supporters. It takes all sorts topper.

We have never disrespected anyone have we? But after thinking about it there is a Miller fan who actually hates Wendies and I mean hates them (he was kicked out last time we played them at home and that was before KO) so I can see it could happen

I won't clap, that's fine. Maybe the applause might be a break from the football on show.
So I know, what happens if we score during the applause, are we allowed to celebrate?

If we score on the 49th yes you can celebrate along with the rest of us.

The tribute to the lad is from their fans
Either join in or not, no big deal.
