Think the initial selection was "inspired". Give Kenny and Gowser the first half, McCanns signings, hope to keep in the game until half time then hey presto bring on his new signings Nelson and CCurran. Transformation of team, master stroke by manager to play the bench first and then bring on the normal first team selection for the second half. It didn't work because the problem is not the strikers it's the defence and the midfield.

What happens to managers when they come to Dundee? This team, like others before it in fairly recent times has the same fatal flaws. Backing off when the opposition break forward, complete failure to cover runs by opponents and a set of routines that defy logic. We've gone from playing the ball out from the back to the same attempted kick out from the goalie to the left side of the field. Not one short pass or throw out from the back. The whole team is compressed into about a quarter of the pitch. Variety came only from the inconsistent efforts by Our goalie

Major problems in mid field. There was very little speed to get forward when we got the ball. Everything was very one paced. Secure possession, give the opposition time to get their formation formed and then pass across the back watching runs being made but with zero chance of them receiving an accurate pass because of the lack of continuity.

Very disappointed with the result, but it's not the players fault. They don't look fit enough, fast enough or skillful enough to play at this level and it's not their fault that they are here.

Again, don't really understand why the Curran, Nelson combo was not on at the start. Was pleased that there was a limited number of supporters booing, with more fans, at least those who stayed to the end, actually applauding the players. They did try but it was just so easy for StJ.
