Two of Barcelona's front three are ex Liverpool players,Liverpool were missing two of their replacements,Barcelona rested their entire first team at the weekend whereas Liverpool played a full strength side away at Newcastle on Saturday night.Less than 72 hours later a depleted Liverpool team ran a fresh as daisies Barcelona side ragged for 96 minutes.
Spurs getting to the final is a tremendous achievement but to suggest it surpasses the miracle of Anfield is taking it a bit too far.

I don't have anything against Liverpool but I don't see why their result surpasses Tottenham's!

    Both scorelines were mind boggling

Should be a great final with 2 teams that go for it. Wonder if last nights hatrick hero will be benched for a fit again Kane?

Scarily, I mind a few Dutch news outlets had us linked with Hakim Ziyech back when Jackie was in charge. Was the best player over two legs against Spurs and is now being talked about as a £50m target for Bayern Munich

Barca rested their entire team at the weekend, whereas Liverpool played on Sunday. One could argue Barca were the fresher team.

Ultimately Liverpool were awesome (in both legs BTW) and looked like they wanted it more. Played with no fear.

Not sure the relevance of Man City other than Spurs eliminated them in the previous round, I have no time for billionaire clubs like them or psg, especially a countries play thing buying success and prestige

Your replies in this thread make absolutely no sense.

First you hint at Spurs' financial clout with their £1bn stadium.....Exactly the reason they have spent £0 in the last two windows and sold fringe players to get money in. Then you try and highlight Liverpools result by comparing their spend to Man City...what has that got to do with Spurs? Absolutely nothing.

Liverpool have spent £8m on two fullbacks.....i notice you missed out the £160m they spent on the goalkeeper and 2 centre backs. Which by the way is almost what Spurs have spent building their whole squad. Added to that Liverpool spending £60m on a midfielder sitting on the bench. Liverpools wage bill is more than twice that of Spurs if you want to bring up Ajax's wages.

Liverpools result against Barca was sensational and is in isolation the more remarkable result but your arguments as to why arent all relevant. I don't care about the size of the name...Ajax would absolutely have given Barca a game. They Pumped Juve and Real Madrid away from home.

Im neither a liverpool or Spurs fan
