80% of clubs at this level haven't the resources or the brand to tempt Cauley Woodrow to their clubs and I say this with the greatest respect to the league .

That's simply a fact and a decisive one at this level .

Move up a League and Cauley Woodrow isn't on anyone's radar in the championship or at least the bigger club's radar .

We are continuously stuck somewhere between the championship and League One .

I've read many things this season from opposition managers and on fans forums and they all say they are envious of our budget and wage bill .

Just as we are when we are in the championship .

It is what it is and I don't see it changing anytime soon .

    Now this is interesting .

The 1980/81 team who won automatic promotion did so with 59 points under the old two points for a win system .

Convert that to today's 3 points for a win and that comes in at 80 points after completing 46 games .

That team won 21 and drew 17 with 8 defeats .

That amount of points in 1981 wouldn't have been good enough today and they were one of the best teams we've ever seen .

    Funny old game guys !!

Tha got mooar bunching up in leagues and points when teams were more evenly matched in terms of resources and player quality. The big exception ez been Scotland where there has been a long history of this inequality. Tha can look at mooasta leagues in Europe nar and they are totally dominated by their top three or four clubs. Money ez ruined the dream that any old club can rise through the heirarchy.

Am telling thi nar, itz rooit a all evil.
