Worth a read on rtg at the minute
A rafa signing post is gaining momentum
They hate us being happy with a manager

They hate us being content with anything and they are more concerned with our situation than their own dire position. I'd wager they would trade their own possible promotion if it guaranteed our relegation to the Fizzy.

That's a massive shame if you dont mind me saying
The feel good factor is bizarrely at the club and it's down to one man

I've said it before on here I thought if I managed to attend the 90/91 season nothing would put me off

I gave up my ticket in 2009 but have still attended the odd game but will never buy a season ticket again until he sells

The sooner something's sorted out the sooner the club can get back to a more settled set up and the sooner things can be built upon in the progressive way it is, albeit not as progressive as some may wish it to be and never ideal for others...but at the end of the day it is Newcastle United....our club regardless of how we think/want/expect it to be run/managed/supported.

From the outside looking in we can only hope for amicability between the parties that matter, which is the hierarchy/manager and his players who want to play for the club and the manager in equal terms and under the terms they signed on for.

    Progressive?

11 yrs 2 relegations and at least half a division below where we were when he bought the club...

    That's progress...

At least the players have a paddling pool full of ice to ease their aching muscles in..

It depends how you want to look at it and where your mindset is looking at it from.

I see it from a different way. I'm of the mind that we could very easily be a lower league regular outfit if things had gone pear shaped up until we were taken over.
Equally we could have been higher up with some miracle of a Sheikh or oil baron kind of thing.

The reality is we have what we have and we are still in the premier league, albeit after a few relegations and sitting midway or lower most of the time.
The reality is, we are progressing but not in the way many fans see it, because progression to many fans is seeing superstars on offer and prolific wearers of iconic numbers parading their skills...not to mention that Newcastle fans (in some) have this belief that this club has a divine right to be up there among the elites and that our owner should ensure its the case by giving a new messiah the supposed big money to do the actual job.
That may not be the progression that it appears to portray and could easily be a death knell for premier league.

I'm sure this will go down like a lead balloon but that's my take on it.

The reality is.... we used to compete...

    We no longer do....

The only reason we are competitive is our manager.

    End of!!!
