I think its good on here as we know each other (in an internet sense) and can have a laugh without anyone getting the hump, I can take the Micky out of Alf's p!ss bag while he comes back at me with a tease of sleeping with Matron, same with Acido the yarkshur tosser, he knows the score and can take it as well as give it...
You'll always be a plastic Yorkie Alto and a Reg Varney (On the buses) wannabe lol. And the same goes for our uncle Alf the zimmer frame thrashing new age traveller.
There I feel better for saying that now, and its nowt personal of course, its just business!.

You must have given it some thought then 59, so in what respect do you think Sean will have improved the team by August ? More specifically, how many new signings do you anticipate will be in this bloody good team, who will be shipped out to make way for them, and approximately how much do you anticipate we will have spent in the transfer market ?

Or is it just something you feel in your water ?

A little insight sinkov, the secretive TEC "understands" a new right back is already ordered. Make of this what you will, but Ben Gibson will be getting plenty of game time too!

Hmmm, would this right-back have been ordered using the same delivery firm we used when we ordered Dawson, Lansbury and Stephens ? Or does Riggs Logistics promise a more swift, efficient delivery service ?

Gibson no problem with, but as he'll be replacing either Mee or Tarko he's unlikely to be an improvement, like for like at best, if we're lucky.

Like all of us I have seen how Sean operates - and he has my full confidence. No doubt players will leave and players will arrive. None of us know who these players will be but I am more than happy to leave it up to Sean.

Personally, I don't think we need major surgery but I am convinced that by August we will be putting out a bloody good team.

I don't expect any marquee signings - and no doubt many people will be underwhelmed because we won't have emptied the bank account, but our club has a plan that is working and I expect us to evolve slowly but surely.

Thank you 59, just something you feel in your water then, which is fair enough. Like you I have every confidence in Sean, with just one caveat. He is an employee of Burnley FC, and while his input is no doubt valued, and acted upon as far as possible, he is not in charge of the finances. He will spend no more than he's allowed to spend, and that won't be his decision, so although I'm sure he will cope as he always does, he will be going into next season with one hand tied behind his back.....again.

Of course I could be wrong, maybe the team will be improved in key positions, maybe most of the signings will arrive before or early in pre-season, maybe they'll have bedded in and we can hit the ground running in our first PL game. Maybe, and if I'm wrong I'll hold my hand up and rejoice, but I won't be holding my breath.

Tarkowski off for £50 million (that's the going rate for an England centre half), Tavernier in from Rangers for £8 million? That's the "Burnley Way", one player out, one player in and £42 million in the old Sky Rocket less the Brentford cut.
