The fault was within the club as history suggests.....EVO's bro dissappeared - players going astray.....club panicking giving stupid contracts....players culled by NW and no budget to replace at any reasonable quality. Club was a bag of spanners at the time. That's why PW got it - no pro would touch the job.

The voice of reason Mellow but sadly the manager lost 3 points v Birmingham due to distorted vision of loyalty and 2 points v Leeds bringing Yates on and seconds later the points were gone. Very obvious bad decisions that directly cost points and there are many others. But survival was in those two games alone...so...?

I bet they had quite a few CVs in when KJ left. And I bet a lot of them will have been in charge of more than one club.

PW has turned us around and there is no way anyone can say otherwise. His record for a first time manager isn't matched by may pros.

I've just read Harry Rednaps autobiography and he sums it up perfectly. All managers get rid of bad apples. Unless they are worth a lot of money to the club. In essence if a player is not delivering or is a bad influence on the dressing room they get shipped out, if they're worth 20 million they don't.

Harry says he'd have sacked loads of players over the years but at times didn't because the chairmen wouldn't let him!!

We may not always understand or agree with some of the decisions that are made but as you said in the OP, we don't have all the facts or any real awareness of some issues that arise.
Ultimately the manager stands or falls by these sort of decisions and although some people will disagree with me, I don't think Paul Warne has done too badly in his time in charge given the constraints he has to work under, not to mention the unrealistic expectations of some of our supporters. UTM
    Don’t agree

Seriously even though I moaned at some decisions in games which were valid imo He hasn’t done too bad and he’s definitely getting the hang of getting players in.

Still his mistakes did relegate us

I agree with that last comment. Any trade is easier with the right tools but the quality of output is down to the skill of the tradesman....and PW is an apprentice.

.......and apprentices need time to fully understand the job and get better at it. Let's hope he gets the time because he could develop into a top class manager for our club.

You're right of course..."he could develop" - but into a top class manager needs "talent" and up to his conscription PW was very satisfied being under the radar doing his stuff as a fitness coach.
Last season was a full pre-season with all lessons learned and the management achieved another relegation.

His "development" is wishful thinking - the cost to the club so far is the championship (twice). Oh yeah - PW took us down twice now having 60% of season first time but then he was still in his management nappies and so so naive.

    This is some honeymoon period!

He may not have what it takes ! ! !

But how long do we wait to find out - let's hope he gets another chance at the championship to prove TS's patience is justified.

Personally his loyalty to certain players and lack of man management skills (of players with "attitude") will restrict his "development" to mediocre.

His tactics should be improving with his and his teams football education. Getting the team to follow the theory is another matter.

Do you just copy and paste this into every thread now or do you actually bother to type it out every time?

Easy, we get it....you don't like Warne, honestly we get it.
Try contributing to thread without mentioning this or Dominic Ball, Kenny effing Jacket or Alan f*cking Stubbs and people might actually listen to what you say.
    With love TLC.
