There's no way I can see both Smith and Vassell leaving as that would leave us extra thin up front. Morris is only a loan player and could be recalled plus Proctor is only just making a return from a lengthy injury.

Yep you can see it coming can’t you, we let players go and come November we get injuries and end up playing 4-5-1 with the 1 playing with a broken toe.

I'd be surprised if any cship club went for Smith as they want to play silkier football than we did and he wouldn't fit into that style.
It's not as though he scores many goals either.

A Sunderland or a Portsmouth might like him but I doubt if they would offer anything over £400k.

You’re right, Hull City haven’t splashed much cash this preseason. Two freebys, one loan player and a goalkeeper from QPR undisclosed.

Perhaps it could well be a rumour that they are interested although Smith is replaceable it’s a bit close to the seasons start up.
