Wrinkly, all any club had to do was ask or act like Barnsley did by putting two offers in. Then they would have known what they were up against.
You’re probably right about others knowing what the asking price was but, if they didn’t want the sale of the century then you have to ask what financial mess they may be in.
Not sure why the quote function on my tablet is adding extra posts
2. 5million for for a midfielder who is now a Welsh international with a year on his contract has a against 1.5million for a Nigerian international who can play in three different positions with a year left on his contract. Semi cheap has chips.
No pressure to sell. Should have kept him. Might have been the difference between championship football next season or league one football
It is expected but why the discrepancy in fees for our two former players when semi is the more versatile player and more talented. Same amount of contract left.
Unfortunately there's huge pressure to sell if the player and his agent want to go.
Why wouldn't they want to go.....more money, better ground, bigger crowds, more fashionable club to enhance your international standing.
It's not just RUFC,s decision
Get all the above. Difference in price I don't get. If one is worth 2.5million why is the other only worth 1.5million,when I would say semi was the better player.
Their value is in the opinion of who is buying them, not who is selling them in our case.
We are in no position to attract bidding wars and bigger, richer clubs know this. It might be that Leeds would've paid a bit more but their wages were not as good. Either way, it is mostly out of our hands.
Dust ourselves off and go again.
