Surely we don't have to stick to a rigid system, if we have someone to score as freely as Gayle did. Be a bit worrying if Bilic is going to do that.

The top 5 sides in the Championship last year were the top 5 goal scorers. Leeds in 6th scored the 7th most goals. This fact is repeated year after year.

I am sure we are actively looking for that elusive striker to get the goals but for me the outcome of those searches will determine whether or not we end up top 6 or not.

I just cannot see us being one of the top 6 teams for scoring goals with the squad that we presently have. Simple as that.

Totally agree with the above and without that 'top' goalscorer we are sure to struggle. Our lack of goals from midfield cost us last season (Gibbs was our 4th leading scorer of players on the books at the end the seasson.) I'm hopeful next season's midfield including Krovinovic and Sawyers will add a few. But we do still need that goalscorer.
