Blind optimism gets you nowhere - surely we´ve all learnt that by now.

Colback didn´t pull up any trees at Forest. He and Wanquillo should be nowhwere near our club never mind the first team. Assuming we have no injuries to any first team player all season then I´m still not confident of staying up.

Best of luck to Almiron and Joelinton but they´ll be leaping off the stepping stone at the first chance - and good luck to them.

As it stands we're actually ok with what we have in terms of holding our own.
Everything we do above 13th, is a bonus this season, but it'll show us what the players who were frozen out are capable of.

It's amazing what can happen to a squad of players when they've been given a new lease of life.
It could potentially go the other way of course but until that happens, I'm optimistic enough to at least look forward to better football under a manager that the players will likely be given some freedom to express under.

    **** sakes.

"Above 13th". . . I'd love to think you're right but we'll be nowhere near that position.

Shelvey might come to life again, but everytime he does he disappears into the darkness again at some point.
We'll see who's good enough to be a squad member and who is good enough to play regular first team football when the season gets underway.

I certainly think this squad has a lot of potential about it and certainly has the beating of many of the teams in the premier league if they perform.
A different management mindset and a clean slate for the players who were frozen out.
Add to them, signings like Joelinton and whoever we get over the line before the window closes and you just never know.

If Bruce can get this team playing decent watchable football then it'll buoy up many of the fans for that alone.
I'm much more optimistic for the season than I've been for a good while, just in terms of getting the chance to watch decent football.

We could field a team of asthmatic geriatrics playing in lead boots with absolutely no chance of playing for five minutes and you would say we had a chance.

As long as it was a different opinion to the majority.

Some of our attacking players should not be given the freedom to express themselves. They arent good enough.

They need structure to get a result.

Rafa the world class champions league winning manager knew this.

You are not a world class manager and so don't grasp this fact.

It´s the old - "why don´t we attack more, then we´ll score more goals. I´d rather lose 4-3 than 1-0" bol*ocks

Aye and on top of that after accounting for running costs and wages etc there should be a large percentage of TV money and 3 yrs of Premier League prize money.I just used the figure that even the journalists up Ashley's arse are using.

Here he is ladies and gents the NUFC Savant, the one true voice of reason in a pool of discontent...

Boy, oh boy... The brain damage must has been from a childhood injury.

Apparently Bruce plays a brand of football which is 'watchable'. Awesome. Watchable.

I guess the tactical mastery of a Champions League winner was far to complex for 'Mr Magic Bus Rider' here. The inability to comprehend tactics, strategy across a season is so alien to him that it's like attempting to teach a dog to play the piano.

Ok Fido, who's a good boy then, who's a good boy... Yes, you are, Yes you are. He's a bone, now f*ck off out in the garden and lick your balls for we grow tired of your irrelevance.
