A vote for Farage is ( I’m afraid ) a wasted vote and a recipe for a “wet lettuce” alliance of Liberal Metropolitan Elite’s who wouldn’t be able to locate a backbone between them.

Boris needs every vote and if Farage wants Brexit he has to stand down his troops.

    It’s as simple as that.

I agree or better still for Farage to send out a clear message to vote for Boris after an internal deal is done between them!

    It’s a shambles.

I cannot get my head around the “we know better than you our electorate” attitude of some of these politicians.

Also.....Corbyn screaming for an election for two years but now not having the balls to go for one.

    Cowards,charlatans and self obsessed t W a t s bringing democracy into contempt.

The most duplicitous person in the House of Commons is Jeremy Corbyn. If the roles were reversed between him and Boris, he would be doing exactly the same things to try to get his own way. You all know that I think that remaining in the EU is the best option for this country but I am very disturbed by the way things are going in Westminster. Although I want us to ‘remain’, I do not want us to remain with Corbyn as PM. So, ‘No Deal’ leave the EU or remain with a Corbyn government? Caught between a rock and a hard place! I would opt, reluctantly, to leave with no deal, as recovering from a Corbyn government would take decades and in some respects we probably wouldn’t recover at all. The economy would be in tatters and what the population would look like after Jeremy and his pals, eg Abbott, Chakrabati et al, had been in charge of immigration, well, use you imagination. The issue of Baggies playing unnecessarily in a change strip would pale into insignificance.....!!!!!!! Lol

Kettering, I haven't agreed with you regarding Brexit, until now. How right you are. A Corbyn led government, and I say this in all seriousness, would be the worst thing to happen to this country in living memory and beyond. The thought of that man and his bunch of bully boys and inept politicians leading this country should fill any right minded person with dread. How anybody can contemplate voting for this Marxist crackpot is beyond me. Basically, I can't find the right words to express my horror at this prospect. If we do have an election I will vote to keep that despicable individual out but after that, if the unthinkable happens and he wins, I will be finished with politics and never participate in any political issue again. Parliament is a disgrace and should hang their heads in shame for robbing this country of its democratic history.

Good post. I can’t get my head round how 541 MPs voted to give the people a vote only to be acting in the way they are now - completely ignoring the mandate. Bunch of absolute despicable rubbish the lot of them

Heard one scenario that illustrates just how barmy the whole situation is.

If we want to ask for an extension or to revoke article 50 then ALL EU members have to vote in favour and any ONE of them could veto it. The UK would be one of the 28 so could actually veto its own reqest to extend/revoke. What wasn't made clear was it a decision for the Goverment or Parliament. Anyone know?

If it wasn't so serious then like the rest of the world I'd be laughing my socks off!

An extension to Article 50 requires the agreement of all other EU members but the UK can just revoke Article 50 without any consent required from the EU. The time required for another referendum would require an extension, therefore requiring the agreement of the EU. Technically, Parliament could vote to revoke Article 50 and that would be an end to the Brexit issue, for a while......!!!
