I've said before on this board that League One is a very forgiving level of football .

A quick glance at the table tonight sees some small budget clubs Wycombe , Fleetwood Oxford , Bristol Rovers and Blackpool at the top end and I don't think Coventry City have that much financial clout despite the size of the club .

How deep the squads are is key I think , Donny Rovers too seem to have a very competitive first eleven but if they get two or three injuries it's a different ball game .

I suspect the league will come more towards Rotherham over the season and its a case of hanging in there , perhaps a couple of smart additions in January with the second half of the season where it counts the most to come .

Personally I think Ipswich Town will win the league comfortably but everything else is very much to play for in my opinion .

Only tired of the same old drivel. That gets spoken about on this site ... we will be fine this season ... we wont be anywhere near the relegation places come May ..we have played 9 games ..with a new team.... hit with injuries From the word go ... warne is a manager and has been for a few years ... he has made some great signings .. olasunday .. Hastie.. lindsay. Robertson .. crooks . Smith.. to name a few .. we have played teams off the park this season .. in patches .. sunderland .. Doncaster. Burton .. we will find our feet and start to climb the league .. .. settle down people .

In my opinion the ‘Warne out’ talk is laughable.

We’ve got a very good set of players, it will come together. 3 defeats in 9 games isn’t the end of the World! Besides PW was set on after a trial period that was 1 point out of a possible 40 odd so in the real world he’d have a good case for unfair dismissal.

Don, so you're of the optimistic bunch then?

Technically we don't have two games in hand, just one - Portsmouth away. The phantom game in hand is v Bury which we won't be playing, obviously.

We were all so excited for this season, excited about the signings too. Looking back, I think we started the season without a clear vision of how we're going to play, 4-3-3 came about due to having no wingers despite spending a lot of money in the transfer market by our standards.

I can't see us going up or down this season. Mid table mediocrity won't do much for season ticket sales next year, but it might not be such a bad thing for the club to use it as a platform to build on, for lack of a better cliche.

Sorry Hazza but that makes no sense. We have 2 games in hand over teams we have played two games less than, one game in hand.....etc and Portsmouth have a game in hand over us.

I am very optimistic brin yes.. far too many people been pessimistic....like the last time we were in this league .. give it a chance .. we didn't get flowing until November last time .. and I think we will be slow burners again .. there is too much quality in the team for us to talking relegation. Tranmere shocking... lincoln shocking . Shrewsbury shocking .. all came with a negative game plan to frustrate time waste and park the bus .. once we unlock them in the 1st 20 mins .. we will rip them apart .. as they then have to chase the game .. that's why they play like that because they know football wise they can not live with us ... as frustrating as it is when the dust settles we should take it as a complement...lots of teams struggle to find there feet after relegation into a new league, the players need to find there feet too. It takes time and patience to get it right . And warne is the right man to do it .

Hold your nerve and after a while we,ll be absolutely fine.
It,s clearly not working but the players and manager are far too good to have a wasted season. By that i mean we,ll be well above mid table and relegation area is nonsense.

Oxford were my dark horses for promotion bearing in mind their last minute signings and they had an awful start but are now absolutely flying. We can do the same.
We,ve shown we can do it properly by winning ugly at Wombles and Burton and no one,s thrashed Bolton except us so the tools to do the job are there.

Warney has a lot of work to do but that,s his job and he,s still the Manager for us. No question about it.
