He’s always done things like this. I’m just surprised that anyone expected anything different.

I'll always thank him for the memories, but jog on

That’s true, but as reported in Paul Davis’ “my take” report posted earlier, Ihiekwe could have easily been red carded as Evans suggests

I actually agree with Evans there. It was more the budget comment that was classic Evans.

He had a decent enough budget at Peterborough last season and couldn't find the consistency required .

Once a player or Manager has left RUFC they,re history.
He did well for us but it,s the current Manager who get,s my full support not someone who left in acrimonious circumstances. He burnt his bridges by upsetting Tony and Richard Stewart.

Same goes for Will Vaulks. Some of the coverage of him after he left was cringeworthy. Lots of people do a lot of work for charity who also work 50/60 hours a week on minimal wages. It,s the people who work at a hospice full time who deserve the recognition

Yes, I don't think anyone who does charity work - whether they be on minimum wage or a professional footballer - does it for 'recognition'. However the latter is able to use his public profile to generate publicity for the charity, which in turn encourages others to contribute either time or money. That's surely something to be encouraged and applauded?
