I don't think it's been fun at all, the quality of the football has been awful.

I wouldn,t be surprised if the winger PW wants is just to replace Hastie who might get recalled by Rangers due to lack of game time.
Not sure if he could be loaned out again to a second club, if so it could be a rival like Portsmouth.

So it may not be an additional winger but merely a replacement.

Having said all that I think PW,s statements in the press about just a winger and striker and no permanent transfers are all smoke and mirrors. It wouldn't surprise me if our dealings are a lot different.
Could end up with no newbies

The next 3 games are critical the excuses have to stop and we need to start dictating games.

The squad is good enough the tactics and style of play isn’t imo.

For me the biggest frustration is all the calls for Warne to leave, these in my opinion are somewhat farcical. The man has shown his capabilities, as he got us promoted immediately after relegation from the Championship, the first time around in his tenure.

Yes, we should be doing better as I also believe we have a much stronger team than the one that last got us promoted. I have never known a season start so chaotic with cancelled games and playing catch up in midweek games. The amount of injuries is phenomenal of late and Warne must be scratching his head thinking, 'what next?'

I have to say though, on occasion this season I have questioned Warne's team selections, inept substitutions, be it for the wrong player or how late he introduces a sub. These decisions have been very poor this season and not just at the fault of having a weakened side.Is Barker too influential? Has Hamshaw started to get more involved in decision making with the subs? He can be clearly seen as the trio of Warne, Barker and himself discuss what's next before subbing.

Bad luck is all around us at this present time regarding who's fit to play but, is this our bad time with only better things to come?
I sincerely hope so, as I truly believe we more than have the right squad to gain promotion this season.

The footy this season has been the same as ever lol.
11 against 11 at kick off, 3 pts for a win and 1 pt each for a draw, and if you score more goals than the opposition then you win, simples!!.

But seriously lads, I dont know what the state of Lg One is like this season because we're above it. But theres still every chance that we might be back there again next season. Its a constantly spinning viscious cricle isnt it.

I think the standard of football served up this season has been the poorest I've seen for a number of years and it's happening at a time when the majority of teams in League 1 are distinctly average.
I haven't seen any indications from the manager or players that things are going to improve any time soon and, unfortunately, I heard chants of "Warne out" on Saturday from a section of the East Stand.
I think a creative, battling midfielder or two would be most welcome in January but the manager seems to think we need a striker and yet another bloody winger! Really?
Mellow your bang on the money pal. I’m a season ticket holder and missed more games than normal but the worrying thing is I’ve not been bothered, I usually hate missing games. I don’t want Warne out but this seasons football and entertainment has been at best 3 out of 10 (at home) I honestly think he’s trying to fit 3 midfielders in to 2 slots, 4-4-2 suits our players. Hastie and Ogbene could tear this league up. And I would only play 2 up. Bout time he let Vassell and Morris play in their preferred position instead of out wide. Let them fight it out with ladapo and smith instead of changing the whole formation just because he wants them in the team. Boy do we miss a Vaulks type player but I do think we have that in Lyndsey given time.

We were worser off 2 years ago.

    Dec 21 2017

    P22 W9 D3 L10 pts 30 position 10th

Still plenty of chance of getting a play off place in a fairly indifferent league.

I've found some OK many of the games hard to watch. But I still keep turning up on my sofa.

I know that you may think that I may be on something but I suppose that it's because I don’t have much contact other than match days but I really am enjoying It.

I have to a large degree removed the emotions for now. It'll change when I get an Internet connection so I can contribute more.

Most matches have everything we erne from a football match.

We just have to step back and try and see things from another angle.

I still think we'll go up int top 2

...which our previous two promotion winning teams didn't achieve. Seems unlikely from here, unless we get a big change of luck with injuries, illnesses, etc., but I hope that you are right.
