Before take a gamble .. push Long wide and bring Scott to play thru centre.
Long appears stronger when driving in from wide positions and Scott better used as a target thru the middle.
I’m seriously hacked why Robinson plays his No9’s wide leaving NO ONE in the box
As for Hylton & Seedorf ... I’d release as pointless as wide players as neither can get past their man and luxury we can I’ll afford.

Agree Long better able to drift around but Scott is out wide because he's not looked ready enough to play through the middle.

Two players who are on their way back from injury at two clubs who seem they may not require their services at the end of January. They are Louis Moult and Lee Griffiths both of whom could work with and help young Scott progress. Failing that club need to look at someone like Adam Marriott at Kings Lynn who are sitting top of the National League North. He is scoring goals for fun only downside might be the fact he is only part time and fitness level for Scottish Premier League May have to be monitored and worked on

If Griffiths is put out to graze Hibs would seem more likely than us...and while we'd all kill for a fit Moult back at FP, taking him as a rehab project is quite the risk.

Why not push Long out wide as appears quite effective running inside and play Scott through middle.
Scott NEVER a wide player and played out of position. He's the target many a long ball but stood wide on the touch line !

Robinson tactic of playing our No9’s out wide, leaving NO ONE in the box a mystery. Combine with the fact both Hylton & Seedorf
rarely get to line, cross the ball or beat their marker may explain lack of strikes on goal. IMO both are pointless and I'd sacrifice for 4:4:2

Scott has looked hopelessly out of his depth through the middle as he can't handle tight attention from a stronger centre half. He's not a true wide player but he looks more comfortable for now out there where there's more space, time and he's up against a smaller full back

Last season showed he can't play as a top level striker yet, I'd have loaned him out but so far Robinson's plan for his development has been decent enough.

It is frustrating to watch our "No 9" playing outside the box, leaving no-one in the danger area. However, as HD says, Scott is simply not ready to play there yet.
