Bowen looks as though he's going to Newcastle for £20m so I suspect he may not play in the tie either because he's either already at SJP or its pending .

Hull are nowt without Bowen .

Extremely winnable game for the Millers .

Feckin hell even we beat em .

Applause on 39th minute to let Barker know we’re thinking of him and his family?

    Referee Anthony Backhouse
Assistant Referees Natalie Aspinall & Helen Edwards
    Fourth Official Joe Hull

Let’s hope they’re faster than the last one we just had on WS side, better eyes than last two idiots on ES side

She missed about 3 offsides as she couldn't keep up with play and didn't seem to know when to put her flag up either, and apparently she has 8 years experience!

The men in the crowd were more polite as they usually would be to a duff lino but there were a few women shouting at her.

I thought she did ok, but it’s a low bar to jump over.

I think part of the issue is the microphone/earphone connections that the officials have. The refs wait until the linesman says something introducing a delay. Before these links the only way of communication was the flag, so flagging was quick and the crowd understood it. Now the linos are instructed to keep flagging to a minimum so spectators get annoyed when they don’t see a flag for an obvious event.

Also some refs instruct their assistants not to flag unless they are asked to do so
Hence if an assistant flags late or after the ref makes a decision there may be a valid reason for it

Is that the reason she flagged when we was taking throw in ? Lol

And stood at the corner flag when it was a goal kick.

But the other linesman missed the goal which was a yard offside.

And the referee missed what looked like a wrestling throw in the penalty box so hopeless all round.

Maybe they've got VAR the wrong way around and it should be used in the lower divisions where the officials are worse?

We do enough moaning but the last few games the lads have gave us a merry holiday so how about showing them we appreciate it but letting them know that if they keep proving themself then we will turn up to support them in numbers (I turn up anyway)

I’m in family stand for this one.

Come on Millers get us through to the next round (4th) I want a cup run, the club want the money
