    If investment means buying a huge chunk of East Pilgrim street and leaving it to rot for over a decade, then I guess they have.

    However, they have just said they're going to invest £100 million to develop the area (including old Odeon now stack) so better late than never.

    i was once told these were theo ones who were trying to get a new ground at a racing track so they could develop the ground
    this was then pointed out we dont own the ground the council do apparently

    they are investors they wont be doing it for anything but a return

    And Ashley ..is doing it for the goodness feeling in his heart .But yes unless it's mega oil money then investors will be eventually wanting returns.When Ashley took over and this was said I thought yes but the bigger returns are found when the team is successful or at least pushing to be better but Ashley can't or won't fund getting better.

    The Reuben brothers own the racecourse.I would be more than happy if it was them on their own.They would invest in the team,then their other investments in the area would no doubt take off.
    When things are good in our great city it is the best place on earth bar none.Ashley has the place on a bit of a downer regards the football club.I wouldn't expect cockneys to understand this.
