Might be people in hospitality only to see games, I’d happily scrap the season and start again next season, it would cripple teams to hand back season ticket money

Surely no true supporter would be petty enough to demand their money back for 4 matches outwith the clubs control if it meant crippling their own club. I buy my season ticket to help the club out and it doesn’t matter to me if I miss 4 or 5 games

When you buy a season ticket you enter into a contract with the club to allow admittance to a set number of games. If that number is reduced through no fault of yours then the club should refund the proportion of the payment not applied otherwise they are in breach of that contract.

Personally I wouldn't ask for a refund however anyone that does is not being unreasonable or petty in my opinion and that doesn't make them necessarily any less a true supporter than any other supporter.

Not everyone can afford to buy a season ticket in order to 'help the club' and many, no doubt, will struggle and do without to get a season ticket. For me those people are more than entitled to ask for a proportional refund in the event that they miss any games due to the club's inability to admit them to those games. It most certainly isn't for you or me to call them not true supporters or petty.

I’m with you on that, but unfortunately not all people think this way

I think this has shown up our football authorities (there's no money to help clubs) and the Scottish govt kinda admitting our public services can't cope as well as England and Wales.

    Back to football.

Apart from the chaos to this season, I'm guessing all football will be stopped from Monday, how do sell season tics for next season when the virus according to the UK Govts estimate will be at it's peak.

Football isn't as important as folk dying but let's hope all our club's have the financial resiliency to get through this.

Amazed the UK government hasn’t pulled the trigger on this yet, certain this will start to get out of control very soon .
Don’t get why whole countries are in lockdown and our PM says ...just wash your hands it’ll be fine....

The money is gone now whether the games are played or not.

Highly unlikely any club can afford proportional refunds and the vast majority will understand in the circumstances if it means their club can go again in August.

The easiest way to avoid breaching contract will be for clubs to fold, surely nobody wants that?

I thought the explanation of why was reasonable but it is at odds with just about every other country.

I did like the way the two medical guys were free to answer questions and not scripted bull.

Soon find out which approach was right though.
