The smart money is the NL will cancel the games due to the pressure coming their way.

I hope we play the game though.
How long is the coach journey to Torquay? Five hours? Sounds like the worst place anyone should be right now is a confined space for so long.

The NL needs to fall in line with the other domestic leagues, otherwise it’s going to become farcical. Mind you, it doesn’t help when the government advice has been so slow in coming.

    National league statement.

At its Board Meeting on Friday, The National League decided to use its best endeavours to keep its season going in the face of unprecedented adversity
However, with the current coronavirus (COVID-19) reaching global pandemic levels it has to accept that the situation is now out of its own control.

In the knowledge of the government measures now announced including not to support sporting events with emergency services workers it is clearly not practical for its fixtures to be fulfilled in the immediate future.

In those circumstances and in line with The Football Association and the Professional Game, at a Board Meeting today, The National League has decided that its competition is now suspended until at least 3rd April 2020.

The National League will continue to monitor the situation, but trusts that its loyal clubs, fans, players, officials, staff, volunteers and sponsors will accept that it has had no other choice but to reach this decision.

It wishes everybody connected with the competition and indeed the whole country a safe passage through these turbulent times.

    Well as expected its cancelled.

Well Boris keeps changing his mind everyday there is no clear message on any of this.

I expect a lockdown within 2 weeks regardless of what we are being told.

He can't win with some, he is taking information and advice from medical and scientific experts what do you expect him to do?

Whatever he does, even if he introduced a law to euthanise all over 75s, I'm sure you would back him 100%.

    UEFA meeting 17.03.2020

Everything hinges on what is decided today, right down to the likes of us and below.
They've said they're open to all ideas and nothing is off the table.

As the BBC put it "What about the domestic leagues? This meeting is nothing to do with them. But it is only when the outcome is known that the leagues can come up with a plan for their own competitions. The 20 Premier League clubs are due to meet on Thursday."

Will prove to be one of the great PM's. We'll have to see if Stu(mer) Starmer can compete (laugh!)

Have patience life long Socialist 'Pie, you've only got another 4.5 years to wait for another try (then another)!

I think he will announce school, college university closures towards end of this week. I think they trying to hold off as Easter holidays coming up anyway.
I also think they will "advise" not to send children to nursery or child minders.
Problem then is parents may end up sending kids to, yes you guessed it, grandparents!
