    I’ve had constant sciatica for 30 years Tony and I’ve learned to live with it but sometimes,like last week,I tweak it in a stupid way and really upset my back.

    I’m lucky that it settles down to just being a slight pulling sensation most of the time as I know others suffer more constant acute pain.

    Taken up running myself Mick - knocked out a half marathon yesterday in 2hrs 7mins, the last 2 miles ruined me but the legs today are surprisingly ok.

    I would love to run more and a 1/2 marathon was my target but every time I step up my training I have a calf muscle problem for which the only cure is rest. Don't suppose at my age it's going to get any easier. It hurts a bit even when I walk but compared to the agonies of some.........
