This topic does raise an interesting question regarding our beloved Royals. I presume they are still on full pay, but please correct me if they've been furloughed on 80% pay and I've missed it. Seeing as they can't carry out any of those arduous chauffeur driven gourmet food engagements, I also presume they are sitting in their palaces and private residences being waited on hand and foot. Still, it must be bloody tiring when the butler has to leave the smoked salmon two metres away, and they have to get up and collect the silver salver themselves.

I am probably not going to be liked for this, but imo some of the royals do earn what they have.

The Queen is an example ... she has definitely earned it. It's not their fault that they are born into it - I guess that those on here who resent it would give it all away if it had been them.

I reckon William's good too - I watch the programme about the East Anglian Air Ambulance - don't know whether he got paid for that work - but they definitely earn it.

Can I just say, all I did was ask that crazychap how much he had donated to the NHS as most people (including the Royals) would rather not say how much they have donated - I was also going to say well done and that he had prompted me to do the same but got insulted instead!.

The fact that she was born into it is one of the best reasons for getting rid of the monarchy.
