Money talks...maybe there's an agreement they can come to with the developers. If not then eventually we'll have to move.

I'll be gutted to go but we cqn't have everything the way we would want it. I'd imagine it would be in the East End somewhere? I never agreed with Sir John Hall's plans to build a stadium on the South side of the river but I'd be dead against any plans to build on the Town Moor.

Mind, the bit of scrubland next to the Leazes student flats would be absolutely ideal... despite the fact that that bunch of 'no business on the Moor' wankers from 20 years ago claimed that it was the Town Moor (it may or may not be) but misled people into thinking it was the actual Town Moor we wanted to build on.
Because the Council own the land, maybe there could be an agreement reached wherby the green space at Leazes is replaced by a new green space where St James' is now.

I wouldn't like to move out of the town centre - To me its location makes it unique.

The rueben bros are property developers as well as the Saudis being big developers themselves

a buyout of the strawberry land would not be out of the question but they would have to get their skates on !!

I agree zip leases park and the land behind it across from Ricky road student block would be the ideal place to build a new stadium.
That could be built whilst still playing games at SJP.

Things like this will all ready have been thought of if the Saudis are going to buy us that is the exiting part,

Everyone keep your eyes open on gumtree for a paddeling pool and a dozen clean wheelie bins for sale long Benton might get a makeover also.

    Fk it.

I'm going to allow myself to get carried away.

If we can't expand out, why not build down like the Nou Camp?

Like the principle but the only way we could do that would be to take down the Milburn and move it back over Barrack Road as there's not enough room around the pitch to make it work currently/
