I'm not retiring. Going Stir Crazy!
Changed my mind completely, this house arrest malarkey is doing my head in. I don't want to end up like you Supersub6, fully retired and slinking around remote woods looking for bear poo!

I'm not retiring. Going Stir Crazy!
Changed my mind completely, this house arrest malarkey is doing my head in. I don't want to end up like you Supersub6, fully retired and slinking around remote woods looking for bear poo!
Haha --yes but that is because my charity work is on hold because I am not allowed to visit my clients! Our organisation wants us to do it online and by telephone, however, the two cases which I started in February, neither have computers and they don't always hear the phone! The problem is that they are both in need of major conversion work in their bathrooms and we can't get anybody out to even quote for the jobs. Frustrating but slinking around the woods gets rid of the frustration ---question is ---how long will it be before they stop us doing that?
I am sorry that you are Stir Crazy --it is all the worrying that you do --stop it and life will be so much easier ---voice of experience speaking.
Its just dawned on me Sub likes those woods quiet a lot ,must find his peace of mind etc. If your all in lockdown and people stay at home more ,could it be that Sub is into this ''tree hugging', malarky?
I shall shatter your illusion Balam. I like the woods because it is quiet and you very rarely see a soul, hence, it is away from all the claptrap being pedalled by TV, radio, journalists etc. The only thing I have to worry about is tripping over some tree roots and twisting my arthritic knees and I find that, if you look where you are going, it is quite easy! lol.
I have to admit that I am not into tree huggers or any other sort of protesters, if I have a complaint I sort it myself and do not stop until I receive a sensible answer --it is great having time on your hands to write or email complaints. I leave the mass demonstrations to those who feel it is necessary for them to get out in the public eye and get their 5 minutes of fame on TV, radio, in the paper etc.
It's a great life if you don't weaken ---even in the woods of Ashington!
I can understand that being alone and together with mother Nature. I made a little hut ,very small ,poped it by one of our fish pools and waited,I could spend easily 2 hours there, just watching different birds of perhaps a nutria ,mongoose pass by,sadly one day I found that some idiot had pushed in to the water.
A lot of birds have left us for Europe so it's rather sad now I catch more the waders, not birds of the desert here.
I have with our cable network,a satelite dish,so I can catch Hotbirds programmes at 13 East, and NileSat 102 ,at 7.0°W ,nothing really to see there. Just now I have 'Swizz Pop' music (yes also Swizz Classic) all day.
