Thread: Burnley reject, Burnley reject.

I thought he suffered from "Headless Chicken Syndrome", but then again I thought the same about Vydra until I saw him lash one home on a dreadfully wet Southampton lunchtime.

Our recent striker signings seem to go one of two ways, most have been successful, you can't have any complaints about Ings, Austin, Barnes, Vokes or Wood, but for no explicable reason Vydra, Wells, Hennings and Jutkiewicz were a complete waste of money, although Vydra might yet turn it round, so far at least he's been a waste of money.

Juke was a strange one, never prolific but he did score a few for all his previous clubs and he's scored nearly 50 for Birmingham since leaving us, but for Burnley he just couldn't buy a goal, not one. I thought he was a good replacement for Vokes, big strong lad, good in the air, could hold the ball up, very similar to Sam, but it was bizarre watching him, chance after chance, but they just slid past the post, hit the bar, stunning save from the keeper, kicked off the line, you thought one had to go in sooner or later, but none ever did, not a one. Then off to Birmingham and the goals flowed again, scored in his second game for them and has never looked back, weird.

I think Jutkiewicz found his true level in the Championship, but oddly Vokes seems to be struggling at Stoke. I sincerely hope Garlick is suffering pangs of guilt for accepting £9 million from the Potters?

Somehow, I'll bet he is sleeping like a baby.
