The finances are so f hooked anyway I hope they give the nurses and lower paid staff a massive rise as we won’t notice it with the deficit being so huge.

Wouldn’t it be nice to see the return of the milkman and bread-man etc as well.

Out here in the sticks we have a great relationship with our postman and the wife always gives him £20 at Xmas and we pay the bin men for taking away excess rubbish.

It’s like the 1970’s still on our patch and I love it.

There are parts of Brentwood that are certainly quite exclusive and you definitely need a few bob if you want to live there. Not everywhere though. I am lucky to have found this place at a reasonable price with a wood on one side and open countryside to the rear. It is not totally posh though. Just up the road from me John ‘Goldfinger’ Palmer was murdered in his garden. He was a shady character said to be worth millions. He was aquitted of handling gold bullion from the Brinks Mat job. Never been solved and thought to be a contract killing. Notwithstanding that it is not a bad little town.
