I thought that was a decent performance in the circumstances, Watford sent on two subs at half time and another two in the last ten minutes, Dyche is still being sent out to fight with one hand tied behind his back by the board, he doesn't have options like that, which on a hot night, and after a game just 72 hours earlier could have cost us, but we got away with it. Watford were a disappointment, I expected more from them, they had a good spell for the first 20 mins of the 2nd half but for the other 70 mins they were very ordinary indeed.

Garlick needs to stop mithering about BLM and beef up the squad and send a dozen (at least) olive branches round to Sean's office and quick.

Hart, Hendrick, Lennon, Legzdins and Gibson may not have set the our Turf Moor world on fire, but we need numbers and quick! JBG and Brady are virtual passengers, so in my mind we need another seven like Jay Rod and Tarkowski PDQ!

The only certainty is that I love Burnley and on that basis (flimsy as it may seem when predicting the outcome of football matches) I believe we will score at least one goal and hopefully that will be enough for at least a point.
Although you correctly predicted we would score Outwood you disappoint me because you only seemed to think this would be worth one point. I expected more backbone from you frankly because every point we get is worth money and that is going to be essential both in terms of recruiting new players and in keeping the services of Sean Dyche. Have you been following recent events at the Turf at all? Our next match is Crystal Palace away if you didn’t know which will be a lot tougher. I will not hold my breath regarding your Match Preview but you will really need to up your game imho. COYC!

You're not your usual perceptive self this morning Outwood, perhaps it's the ending of the heatwave ? You know very well that extra money does not go towards player recruitment or to persuading Sean Dyche to stay a while longer, it goes directly into the Dry Powder store, and it bloody well stays there.

How are you these days mon ami, not seen you for a while now.

Quite well sinkov as this recent photo shows. I have rarely been spotted because I have been marooned in this house with Outwood for interminable months. We hardly speak to each other and this may come to blows or worse. I have started surreptitiously hiding the sharp kitchen Knives but he follows me everywhere. Almost the only peace I get is when I sneak onto this iPad. I honestly can’t wait for lockdown to end if I survive it.

It was a relief to Watch the game after Monday night.Very good first half but Watford sorted themselves out at half time.It was clear that without Wood and Barnes long balls from Pope were not going to have much success yet he persisted.I think Vydra can be a useful asset provided he has the right partner,he is a busy hardworking player with an eye for goal but he needs the ball on the ground. We could have a problem now though if Jay is unavailable for the Palace game.

Time to try our young and black superstar I think. Nice time for a positive message too!

Good to hear you're well Outwood, but I'm intrigued, how do you get your feet to stick to the wall, that's a neat little little trick.

No the game was nothing to write home about ,but we are improving!!Pope rolled out the ball 4 or 5 times to his defender. I think more to Taylor ,which meant a pass forward to Westwood or 'the Mac', means we have 100 % possession in control ,and on the attack. But later hoof ball to no mans land,or the Golan Heights? Which has no purpose ,(but if S D wants it I don't like it, but ''Let it be!'') But at least more determination so a good sign, and especially when we have players injured. The players just need more games that will install more confidence.

I was intrigued to read Nigel Pearson saying we 'bullied' them. I'm not having that, only Tarko has any bully in him, the rest of them are lightweights. I suspect what he's really saying is that his lads didn't turn up, but he doesn't want to be as blunt as that.
