To me there seems to be an air of arrogance, conceit about the whole set up, it just got up my nose. Then there was Bong playing the race card, he didn't get away with it, but it was typical of the club, it didn't surprise me at all. You can add the Dale Stephens transfer saga to the list as well, that deal was supposedly done and dusted, the lad himself believed it was a done deal, but they strung us and the player along until the last minute and then stopped it going through. Although to be fair, we should have known better, we've been mugged before by WBA, we should have seen this one coming.

    Feck 'em.
Another reason Brighton got themselves into my little Black Book which I forgot to mention above. When Joey was with us some teams, not all of them, clearly set out to intimidate Joey, wind him up, get the red mist to descend, to get him sent off. Predictably Brighton were one of them, on his case from the first minute, but they failed, Joey had grown up, he rose above it all. Set of ****s. Maybe Brighton have grown up under Potter, maybe they're a different beast now, we'll see.

Always taken the "southerners" thing as a way to knock a team and the majority of supporters from the south. As a southerner myself, yet a supporter of Burnley I don't find it offensive.

It's a bit like the cheers of Yorkshire against us.

But either way, I'm sad that we don't have the chance to relegate them. I was really hoping.

They have decent fans, just as every club does. What I don't really like is the "new" fans (who were nowhere to be seen when they couldn't fill the Withdean) are very self entitled.

Having spent a large part of my life in East Sus*** I can tell you now, these new fans are the ex Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal fans who always considered little old Brighton their second team.

I guess you have to give them credit for changing their support to their local team, but their stadium paid by the government, training facilities and transfers paid for by a rich owner really irks me the wrong way. They are much of what is wrong with modern football, just on a smaller scale compared to say Manchester City or Chelsea. They aren't too far from West Ham, but at least with the hammers most of their fans have been fans for a long time.

This is only exemplified by chats between supporters after games there where instead of giving us credit, have mocked us for not playing great football and how it's so incredibly unfair they outplayed us and couldn't beat us.. and also another "fan" who mocked me for supporting Barnsley. Not to mention the days of Poyet and the cheating.

Now there's good and bad everywhere, I went to college with a nice Brighton fan and I feel sorry for any genuine fan to have their ground taken away and to play without one for so long.. but if you're a new fan at least understand that there's no entitlement in football and that you can only buy success so far in the premier league unless your owners are worth zillions. At least have the courtesy to admit that if you're beaten fair and square that you aren't all your team is made out to be.

Sad thing is, I think they have a good manager in Potter so I think they'll improve next year. Hopefully not to our expense!

    Hi Sinkov

Her is another comment on Brighton.

I lived there for a number of years and all my friends knew I supported Burnley.

I have had nothing but good wishes from them and an admiration for Burnley's achievements.

"the whole set up" as you call it was the vision of one bloke who put his money into building the Stadium when Brighton were down and out. He funded it and paid for it and yes he is a Brighton lad.

Previously and for many years their "Home" ground was Gillingham FC's ground followed by years at Withdean stadium with a maximum capacity of 10,000.

So no, I do not share your views.

Strange one Potter.I don't think anybody had ever heard of him when Swansea appointed him and he's done well there and at Brighton,I think he was working abroad. He comes across very well.
