I agree Pass that the EFL are weak and we are correct in observing the financial rules. I just think Dane is playing into the Wigan QC's hands by strengthening their case in the Wigan-v-EFL Appeal Hearing decided by an Independent Panel.
All this "We'll feyt 'em" stuff could have waited a few days.

Anybody remember Crown Court on tele ararnd dinnertime in the 70's? Granada TV, narrated by Peter Wheeler. Cheap daytime TV but I loved it. Dramatic theme tune and some cracking wooden acting. Judge--"QC for the Wigan club, I believe you wish to present some late evidence supporting your views concerning the incompetence of the EFL" "Yes M'Lord. It's an Official Statement from the CEO of Barnsley FC" Cue gasps and general muttering in Court and shots of shocked faces.

Th panel don't dictate whether we're relegated or not. They judge whether the EFL were wrong and the EFL take the action accordingly. The panel can still be ignored if I've read it right.

I can see the EFL saving face and abandoning relegation, restructuring the divisions before the fixtures are released.

Not sure abart that Ponte. The decision of an Independent Appeals Body is usually final. One party can't just say, "Oh we'll take no notice of the decision and do what we want".
Wigan are appealing the 12 pts deduction. The Panel either uphold the appeal or not.
