If it was a rejection, why the fĂșck does it matter who will be running the club. Also who have they been doing the test on for 4 months. Interesting thing in all this, PIF, Staveley, Ruebens, Ashley and PL all issued no comment.
Stay patient everyone. Its made up bollox

it would appear that the pl are suggesting it may be someone outside the owners - who have been forwarded.

surely a lot of clubs just employ someone to run the club/business for them - but if they aren't owners then it doesn't matter. nothing to do with the pl

    It's all a mind-fuck, like.

I woke up this morning to the news that the deal was in deadlock being the number one item on the 5Live sports report.

With the other journos, I get the scepticism but when the BBC start reporting you know there must be something in it.

Roan has been dead set against from the start. I still remember his twitter interview with masters where he basically told him the prem had to block the deal. Absolute tool. Now he is trying to tell us the prem have only just asked who will be in charge, after 17 weeks ffs. First thing they would of looked at would of been that. Press just clutching at straws now

    I didn't, to be honest.

I got in from training last night to find a slew of messages on our Whatsapp group with links to the Shields Gazette and the Express (I know ) talking about how the deal had stalled and that the buyers felt they had given all the answers they needed and weren't going to answer any more...and I actually felt physically sick at the prospect of it not happening.

It's so fucking draining, man. In fact, I think the only thing keeping me sane is reading your rebuttals of each new supposed obstacle. After each one I take a deep breath and let it out slowly, repeating the mantra 'Geordie's right, Geordie's right.....'

Thats the thing Zip, it is draining. I am so confident for a number of reasons. The main one being its Saudi Arabia PIF. Would the PL really have the balls to knock that back. The repercussions would be heard from St James' and Downing Street to Ryiadh.
The next thing is the Saudis will never walk away because Qatar are the objectors and main instigators of this bollox in the media, plus its not their style, they want something and they get it.
So that brings me to the next bit, if for some obscene reason this last report is true. The court case on appeal if it was failed would be fun. The best lawyers in the world asking how the leaks came from within the PL therefore breaking the NDA. Would be a win for the consortium straight away. Result, new owners.
We all need to chill, 13 years of austerity and dour football and club legends shĂ*t on from a great height, as long as it takes to get the takeover done is fine with me. Although I do feel we are nearly there now.
