You wouldn’t allow someone that has been stealing from you to join your country club. You just wouldn’t. You would seek some form of vengeance by completely blocking them from joining or making them jump through degrading hoops.

The Premier League have behaved disgustingly and there needs to be a transparent investigation. They knew exactly what they were doing as they could not block the takeover based on the O&D test rules.

    I hope EVERYTHING comes out!
Even the WTO could not prove Saudi stole anything.Only thing they were guilty of was not doing enough to stop it and yes I would expect the PL to pass it as there was no grounds in THEIR ODT to reject it. At first it was the fact it was Arabsat equipment used for Beoutq then people found out it was not just Saudi owned, but nearly every state in the middle east had a share in Arabsat (including Qatar). The Saudis have jumped through a lot of hoops for the PL and still got p!ssed about.
I agree with you it all comes out in the open especially the leaks from PL to the Qataris and pressure from other clubs. It absolutely stinks to high heaven

If this is true about Liverpool they will have went down in my estimations big time.

I would have thought better of them, that they would have the spirit of fairness - specially following the fact that they are now kings of the hill.

    Spurs, well....

Mmm. I had Liverpool down as a classier organisation than that.

Proved themselves to be a pack of little btches if they did complain then.

Absolutely just shows how desperate and vile they are to keep their claws in the top of the league and not let anyone else join the club, thing is though it wasnt down to other clubs to let the deal happen it was down to masters and the PL but of course they crawl all over liverpool so cant upset them.

Ironic if it was Liverpool given they could’ve gone into administration under the previous owners but have had significant investment by the current ones to get them back to the top and are now trying to prevent other clubs from similar reviving. Pure speculation but if Man City objected, it’s a club that were in the third tier during the premier league era and have had another major investor come in and make them into a major force. If future blocking of takeovers is allowed to happen then there are effectively 18 clubs either trying to avoid relegation or scrambling for two champions league places. If it’s true about Spurs objecting, then all they could ever aspire to is the latter unless of course the league are happy to allow them to be taken over for but not happy for some other clubs to be.
