    I would have taken him. Vast experience at the highest level, but obviously in it now for one last pay day.
    All keepers were error prone, even the great Gordon Banks.

    Thing is though Al for what we'd end up paying him I'm not sure he'd be any better given he hasn't played for ages. Johnstone isn't the issue here its Hart. The fact he's gone to Spurs where he's very unlikely to get a game in the long term bar injuries suggests he's happy to collect the top up to his pension fund every week. I think there's better options out there with more ambition to prove a point than a player we'd be signing at great cost who is always going to be a gamble. Just my 2 cents worth.

    If you consider your points Stripes then would agree! We do need to replace Johnestone though as so many better options than him in the Championship and he's piss poor in my opinion. Strong keeper and strong forward required ie keeping the ball out and somebody who can put it in!
