    You have to bear in mind Mal that this is a club that paid £40 million for a striker called Joelinton, and I can guarantee you he was missing far easier chances than that one on a regular basis last season.

    I think his problem was the fee, we paid a lot of money for him by our standards, but he looked for the most part, trier that he was, fairly average. If we'd got him for nowt, as Newcastle have, I think most fans would have seen him as a bargain, instead to many fans, including me, he was a player we'd paid over the odds for. A shame really, that wasn't his fault.
