What will the hole be should we get relegated ?

I would estimate it to be about the same amount sinkov, because the parachute payments ease the initial strain, but let's not talk about relegation eh?

From what I've seen so far ,there are a lot worse teams than the Clarets, don't forget we played with half a team and gave a very good Leicester side a good game..

Will the addition of Stephens and Dawson assuage your worries Alto?

I haven't checked the parachute payments recently BT, so I've no idea what they are anymore. If they kept turnover to within £20m of what it is in the PL I'd be gobsmacked, so can you gobsmack me and tell me what the current payments are, or are you making it up ? Surely not.

From what I can see sinkov, parachute payments to EFL clubs are linked only to the equally shared element of the broadcasting income (i.e. 50% of UK income, and 100% of Overseas income).

Seeing that revenue is way down due to the Chinese consortium's inability to stump up, the Black Hole in Mike's finances might be ever greater than your mystical Black Hole in Gawthorpe.

Either way, it looks like we need to stay up or that shortfall might be nearer to £50 million depending on what goes into the EPL pot via broadcasting income. ITV Digital all over again?

Can’t say I am impressed with either Dawson or Stephens, as both are 30 plus. While Dawson may be fine for the short term, Stephens was not a first choice at Brighton and I think we could do better looking at players in the championship. I am concerned with bringing in players 30 or over as they have no sell on value, but it does seem that Dyche likes this type of player, whether that is by choice or it is what finances will allow.
Back to the original topic, did the club use a clause in Brady’s original contract to extend that contract for a year? If that is so it may be that Brady had another club lined up with a more lucrative offer on the table, in which case he probably will not be 100% committed. If we could get a decent price for Brady, I think it would be a no brainer to let him go.

Of course it might turn out to be alright on the night, and we carry on life as an 'established' PL club, but an alarm bell is ringing at the back of my head, and I have this uneasy feeling we could be playing the likes Rochdale and Oldham again inside the next three years, and I don't mean in Cup matches.

No doubt Sub will tell me to get a grip and stop worrying, but nothing lasts forever.

Sinkov, lets hope that the nothing lasts forever is Garlick's tenure as chairman.
