Can't imagine the owners will allow him to take us into oblivion, but I can see them holding out until January/February by which time this season will be a write-off, promotion wise. The owners will bring success eventually but they are almost certainly going to have shut the door once and for all on a very dark and embarrassing period of our history and make their first managerial appointment before that happens.

30th of Jan will be exactly half way in the league if it gets to start on 3rd Oct. If we are top 10 or within a few points of the play off places at that point no way they will sack him, we would have to be well off the pace for that to happen, and I really don't expect that to be the case. You may have to wait the whole season out to get your wish!

In an honourable society however, he would have resigned. Despite the dire conditions brought about by Covid we still have a club thanks to the Reedtz family and on paper, and from what I have seen so far, we appear to have a very good squad; one that could easily win promotion if it had a sense of direction, purpose and solid leadership. We don’t need and cannot afford endless experimentation in the hope that things will go right on the pitch sometime in the distant future. It is abundantly clear that the manager cannot inspire and lead our teams. I am fully aware of the pitfalls of managerial roundabouts but unless he is replaced soon we will go into oblivion with the usual excuses. If I were daddy Reedtz I would be saying to my boys, “Listen lads. I admire your ambition, drive and loyalty, but your man’s time is up. He’s had his chances and you need fresh blood, or else”. Gamblers compound their losses by gambling more and more in the hope of winning and we cannot allow the manager to gamble our club away.
Bloody hell! The season hasn't even started yet. This must be some kind of record!

Laughing Magpie, was going to post the same! The manager who got us to the playoff final last year and had a bad game and who has played one (semi) competitive game this year must go?! Madness. The relegation season has been and gone. Numerous managers failed that year. Unfortunately with this league being as it is with only 1 team getting auto promotion, if we are comfortably in the playoffs all season then he’s doing his job. Despite this, I do agree he needs to find a way of dealing with teams using an aggressive pressing system against us. Those were the games last year that we looked poor in. Let’s wait and see. There still might not be a bloody season to start

Numerous managers failed that year -Nolan after 5 games can,t be judged - Kewall out the bottom 3 when sacked - Ardley relegated us with what 25 + games left - nothing will change my mind he was responsible
You say play offs and that’s ok - not really because we will fail against a high press team that comes at us - and they will do because all a team have to do is do there homework
The way forward is winning games instead of drawing to poor to mid sides
Example the home game to Dover we drawed and they acted like they won the cup - Barrow won the same match at home 1-0 scoring around 80 minutes .
But I agree I’f the season starts at all - but at least post match Ardley was right about that the leagues above and below us have started

To be honest he seems to be a below average manager , but a nice person.
He cant seem to change his system when up against it , (are Harrogate really that much better than us , they shouldn't be)
The season he took us down he played insipid football when we needed blood, guts, passion and desire.
Last season we got flashes of individual brilliance , glimpses of great team play , but in the main were served up a menu of insipid football.
Here we are , a season and a half later and I'm still hoping he can get it right , but it seems we still have the same old problems as we had with him from day one.
His lack of capabilities have cost us a semi final and promotion.
were we unlucky in those games ? or played of the park by (in my eyes) an inferior club that has no right in making us look like school boys.
The Upshot is , it's to early in the new season to get rid , the only option we have is to hope he can get it right at the third time of asking.
Fingers crossed . toes and all extremities crossed he can

My thoughts entirely. Anyone trying to judge the new players on the games played in pre-season is barking up the wrong tree. They need time to settle in. Harrogate had a massive advantage yesterday having already started their season. If we had been equally fit we would have given a better account of ourselves. Even so we played better than at Wembley. There was also some strange refereeing.

He's assembled the squad he desired, he's had a full pre season, he deserves his chance to get us back up. I'm not Ardley's biggest fan but I've a feeling we'll be in the playoffs again. Hopefully we've got the squad to take us one step further this time.

O/P is a very knee jerk reaction.

It's obviously ridiculous to even discuss sacking a manager before the season starts, but there can be no more excuses this time. Ardley has been backed from the day he arrived. He has signed so many players, many of whom have been of a calibre that other teams around us would love to have. Yet we've never looked like we have the spirit or tactics to seriously push on.

There has always been a valid (and handy) excuse up until now. Hardy was a nutcase, and the squad was divided when he arrived. Then, we nearly went out of business and had to assemble a squad in a few weeks. This time around, there can be no excuses. And I don't want to hear him roll out the 'Saturday-Tuesday' one again, given that every team in the division will have that problem, and most will have smaller squads.

Over to Ardley. I would love him to succeed, I really would. But this season is the last chance to show he can.

Here it is folks, what I expected , what i knew was coming lol. Tbh even I didn't think it would appear to at least the first league defeat but why wait for that after last night's showing?

Classic NCM. Proving you can't take anything too serious on here.

    Love it
