Paul Warne - loaned from our fitness coach department and asked to move up to Manager level. Best move ever.

We wunt have got him back if Warney hadn't been our manager. You are right Brin the best asset we have is Warney. If he goes we are back to square one and worse...

Good shout. Macca was awesome with Swales and how I wish we still had them both now at their best for us.

Good point, which brings me back to “flapping” keepers.

Pollitt was also a bit flappy, not great at collecting crosses, then along came Swailes and McIntosh and things changed

It’s as though they told him “ concentrate on shot stopping, we will deal with the corners and crosses”

From then on he got better

A good partnership of two central defenders will always calm any keeper. They’re like his generals stood in front of him.... nothing will get through.

Was Ajayi on loan first? Wow, what a signing that proved to be. Good shout for the op winner as seems to have proven more successful than Lee and Frecks in terms of level he went on to play at

By no means the best player but Leo Fortune West was a successful signing for us after initially being on loan. He scored a decent amount of goals and went to Cardiff for a hefty profit.

I'd put Richie Smallwood in the successful signing category as well.
