    RIP Trevor Phillips.
When I started properly following the Millers, in the mid-seventies, I always compared our players to Liverpool players.
After all, at the time, they were the top dogs in Europe.
Trevor Phillips was Kevin Keegan. He was little n large with Big Dave Gwyther and he was John Toshack (Welsh as well).
Alan Crawford was Steve Highway (left winger who scored goals)
Tommy Spencer was Emlyn Hughes, etc, etc,

Awful news. Followed the team in this era up and down the land. Unlike today’s giants, our front line was one of the smallest. Richard Finney, Dick Habbin, Alan Crawford and Trevor Womble, all players along with Trev Phillips that will never be forgotten. RIP Trevor.

Yep one of my favourite Miller's players of all time. He and Crawford were prolific playing off gwyther. That's not to say he couldn't look after himself. He loved winding up the big names and I think he scored in our famous 3-1 win at the stay in the 70s. How we could do with someone like him now up front. The big time Charlie defenders wouldn't bother him.

    RIP A true Miller's legend

Very saddened to hear this - great player and servant to our club. Only 68. That on top of a good friend of mine dying a couple of weeks back too...

I've not posted for a while but this is sad news..he was exceptional at times..
He could " turn on a tanner" and had he played in a really successful side he would have been a real live wire..I can see him now with his mod hair cut parted down the middle..
Rip Trevor you were an inspiration..x
