Understand reports that #SWFC players were not paid in full for November are true.

’s tweets this morning. EFL regulations say a club found “in default of any payment” to a player may be placed under a transfer embargo.

    Oh dear!

When Sheff Utd went down we took the p1ss and they spent 6 seasons in League 1. We took the piss. We went down too. That was short lived. We got promoted before them back the Championship and took the piss. They got back to the Championship and got promoted to the Premier League as we were relegated.

The taking piss and bragging rights were great but they were awfully short lived. Both Sheffield clubs are having a sh1t time of it now. However, I'd quite happily take the mode comb of success Utd have had in recent seasons than the constant plateau of mediocrity we seem to be in.

Just think where we were at the start of lock down.

I wouldn’t ..... you can stuff the PL. we can stay in the Championship for me. Don’t want it. It ruins clubs like ours.

That's the bit I like the most. We wouldn't be a club like this anymore we'd be a club like that. More exposure, better players, more chance of getting back if we did slip out. I wish we'd have a proper go in 97.

Steve, it’s a different place now. VAR to deal with, as well as biased reds, Massive conning of clubs by agents selling duds, and the top 6 controlling the rules and regulatory body ike never before. Keep it for me..... my neighbours in Huddersfield thought it was jealousy when I told them they’d pay for the two seasons of so called “ better players” and “More exposure”
Sure, they’d not swap seeing them in the prem “once in their lifetime., but most agree now that it hasn’t made things any better. Most agree they were sold ( and agreed to buy ) some very “poor players, on massive wages, and it’s crippled them since.

Rightly or wrongly, I’ll stick with my view. I don’t want it.

I agree Jules. Only thing I want as a Barnsley fan is entertaining football with 100% commitment. Dunt matter which division we're in, if our players are prepared to give it their all then it'll do fo me.

Premiership has become a comedy. It's terrible viewing most of the time with this stop start VAR and the players are like fairies

I think we did have a proper go and spent some decent money. The poor start and naivety cost us.

If the aim isn't to get to the premiership what's the use of having a championship club? You may as well go and support a non league team that way you'll have years of football, even with promotions, before they get anywhere near the premiership. I support the team and want them to play at the highest level they possibly can. I want to see my team players pitted against the very best players from other teams. We watch them and hope they'll win. Winning means a chance of promotion and promotion means premiership. I can understand the feelings of it will change us, but what's the alternative? Mid table mediocrity? It not mattering about results as long as we're not relegated? I'd end up wishing for a relegation battle just for the excitement if that was the case. I still want that chance to see my team play at the top level otherwise what's the point?

That kind of thinking puts clubs into massive debt you need lots of money and top notch international sales teams and big crowds to buy your stuff on top of top players. running costs use to be about 6 million to play in the championship must be 10 million now the prem your talking 60/70 million a season over 100 million for ya top 6, in the top flight we wouldn't even be minnows wed be plankton swallowed up with massive debt.
