Perfect in my eye Thomas, the premier league has really ruined football by turning it into a business.

    Punching above our own weight?

Based on average home gates in the season 2018/19 (the last full season with fans) we ranked 9th best behind the likes of Stoke, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Norwich City, Derby County, Nottingham Forest, let alone Villa and Leeds.

Last season we were still behind Forest, Derby, Stoke and Leeds and just ahead of Sheffield Wednesday by a few hundred and that was when we were always in the top 2 in the league!

If the fans owned our club we would be mid table Championship as Peace was so fond of telling us all.

Streaming has cost us a few thousand fans. Which is good if you can't get to games or can't afford it, but I don't get going up the pub to watch it.
I hate watching it on the Tele, you can't beat being there.

A new owner for the club is not so much of a worry as last time, how much worse can it get. However we do not know who the proposed new owner/s are, what their commitment or intentions are, or whether they have the financial clout to move the club forward. Lai might sell cheaply, therefore, we may not get the investment we all wish for. Lia bought and has not carried through with the promise expected of such a wealthy individual. Maybe he never had any intention of investing, no one actually knows. What we do know is the change of ownership is what a majority wanted and what they got, albeit not a satisfactory one.

Getting a new owner might be a great thing for the club, it is a lottery and let’s hope we actually have a winning ticket this time. To many false horizons have been had in the past and we do not want another.
